My favorite time of day - the crackle and smell of fresh 🥖 baguettes reassures me that no matter what my lunch is going to be delicious!! Embarrassingly I admit it’s my center of the plate lunch 🥙🍴😍!

Happy Mother’s Day, year, life, everything to the best mother AND father I could have ever had. It’s thanks to them that I have the strength and courage to persevere during these times. At my age my parents restaurant and livelihood had just been decimated by a pyromaniac that had set it on fire after 55 years in business. And when my dad went to the local banks for help they turned him down for a loan because he didn’t have records (because they had just gone up in flames), and yet they still managed to rebuild their restaurant from ground zero. They were in their 50’s, had 5 kids, no income and they somehow did it and never complained. Although my mom passed away 2 years ago, I still hear her words of wisdom and encouragement but oh how I still miss her. We buried her with a sign that said it all “I’m kind of a big deal”. Yes she certainly was! Do not forget to show your mom how much you love her.
